Glastonbury Festival 2010

The Hub

PF Events were contracted to supply all the audio equipment, staging, technicians and crew to the main stage in the Shangri-La field. The PA system which was used was a Noise Control Audio NFA System, controlled by a Yamaha M7cl mixing desk at the front of house. The stage was a custom build for the area in the style of a coliseum in Bladerunner surrounding the crowd with the actual stage built in to one side.

An eclectic line up resulted in the requirement to supply a large spectrum of microphones and multiple sets of DJ kit specific for each act. For instance, one of the DJ acts used 5 sets of decks, 6 DJ mixers and 3 CDJs, which all had to be set up in 20 minutes after a 6 piece band had been playing on stage. With the stage being programmed for 18 hours a day, two shifts of technicians were needed.

On Friday night, PF Events had to cater for a live BBC Radio 1 broadcast from our stage, hosted by Annie Mac.

Gorilla Members Club

This exclusive bar is attended by artists that have appeared in the Shangri-La field and is a favourite hangout for celebs and crew alike. PF Events supplied a compact Noise Control Audio live system and a Soundcraft EM12 mixing desk to cater for the cabaret style acts performing.

Micro Venues

Shangri-La is littered with micro venues which include art galleries, micro raves and burlesque venues. PF Events supplied the audio, video and lighting to a number of these venues.

Audio hire and logistical support was provided by PF Events to Noise Control Audio who supplied audio to all the stages in this field.
