Futuresource Entertainment Summit 2011

Venue: Grange City Hotel, London

In June 2011, PF Events supplied audio, video, lighting, staging and technical management to Futuresource Consulting for their Entertainment Summit at Grange City Hotel. The event was a 2-day conference consisting of a variety of talks, video presentations, panel discussions and Q&A sessions.

The brief requested by the client was that the sound must have a clear and even coverage throughout the entire room. PF Events achieved this by installing a delayed distributed speech sound system which featured four KV2 EX10's on stands at the front (two each side) and another four flown from the ceiling at the back of the room (two each side). A number of various microphones were supplied for the conference including twelve Countryman E6 Omni Earset Mics, two Audio Technica Lectern Mics, three Sennheiser EW100 Hand Held Radio Mics and six Shure SM58 Mics used as backups. This was all controlled by a Roland M400 Digital Mixing Desk.

A combination of stage lighting and room lighting were supplied for the conference. This included six Source Four Profiles set up so that four were used as spot lights for the lectern and panel, and two were used as a stage wash. Sixteen Par30 Uplighters were also installed around the room to optimise the features of the room. These were all controlled using an Avolites Pearl lighting desk.

PF Events supplied preview monitors, both for stage use and control point use, as well as an Analog Way PLS200 HD Video Switcher in order to seamlessly switch between presentations and videos etc. A video of the entire conference was recorded using a Sony HVR-Z1E Camcorder, with the final product being supplied to the client in digital format on an external hard drive. The audio of the entire conference was also supplied to the client on the same hard drive.

A black stage carpet and black stage skirting was also supplied for the conference in order to give the stage a smart and professional look.
