British Fashion Awards 2008

Venue: Royal Horticultural Halls

PF Events were contracted to supply technical production services for our client, Honest Entertainment, at the 2008 British Fashion Awards at the Royal Horticultural Halls.

We flew 12 PA boxes (6 on each side) from the ceiling which, by request from the client, needed to be hidden. An awards specific control area and awards show microphones were also supplied to fit in with the style of the event. We also installed a large PA behind the set on the balcony and flew some small active speakers with a feed from the main PA in the bar area. For the benefit of the press, we installed a PA and 50” plasma screens with feeds from the awards.

An awards show lighting system was installed which included moving heads flown from the ceiling and along the floor, alpha beams on the stage and LED uplighters along the walls. We were required to supply additional power for the catering and the lighting. We achieved this by installing a generator at the rear of the building and power distribution throughout.
