Ananda Utsav London 2011

Venue: Alexandra Palace

In April 2011, Impact Marketing contracted PF Events to supply audio, lighting, video and staging for a 3-day Indian cultural event at Alexandra Palace in London. Technical management was also provided by PF Events throughout.

The three days of the event consisted of a mixture of traditional and contemporary Indian music. This involved a number of challenging change overs between two bands, all of which were achieved smoothly.

PA: A Noise Control Audio I-Fly system with flown front stacks, infills and delayed stacks were installed which provided a clear and even sound throughout the venue.

Lighting: A truss system was installed from the ceiling from which 16 moving head fx lights with various specs and two lasers were flown from. This providided a spectacular lighting show which was fully executed for the final headline act, Shaan. PF Events also installed eight bar of 6 Par64 stage lights, four LED battens, a follow spot, eight Par64 stage uplighters and two hazers to optimize the lighting. This was all controlled by an Avolites Pearl 2004 lighting desk.

Video: PF Events installed a 14ft x 10ft into the set along with two 14ft x 10ft truss screens either side of the stage. Three video cameras, all manned by an individual cameraman, were used to record the entire show from different positions, and three high quality 15000 lumen LCD projectors were used to project a defined video image on to each screen.

Stage and Set: A custom designed and built stage set was produced by PF Events to the client's specifications. This set housed the stage screen and was designed so that each individual part of the set could be lit up a different colour which provided a very striking stage set. PF Events also installed a 60ft x 40ft stage.

PF Events also provided a small stage and compact PA system for a second room in Alexandra Palace.
